The Chambre de Commerce et d’Industrie Franco-Indienne (CCIFI) is delighted to invite you to the 2026 Literary Prize Award Ceremony, celebrating this year’s laureate:
Hema Macherla for her acclaimed novel Lettres sur le sable published in France by Éditions Mercure de France
The novel offers a moving and powerful portrait of contemporary India through the story of Kiri, a young girl in 1970s Andhra Pradesh whose secret education changes the course of her life.
